2 Surface densely covered with protuberant small dots visible under magnification.

3 Surface becomes sticky when soaked in boiling water ; testa cracks when heated in water, revealing a white helicoid embr yo.

小菟絲子

	Ripe seed of Cuscuta chinensis Lam. (Convolvulaceae).
	Strengthening yang to arrest nocturnal seminal emission; nourishing liver and kidney; calming fetus; improving acuity of vision; stopping diarrhoea. Weakness in lower body and legs; impotence, seminal emissions, urinar y frequency; ver tigo, dizziness; poor vision; threatened abor tion.
	Top grades are plump.
